Enjoy accessing your content and files on your Buzztv U5 with a 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive), having no internal rotating disc like HDD (Hard Disk Drive), whereas SSD uses flash memory with no rotating disk inside. SSD have more longevity than HDD with lesser moving parts and SSD are faster at read and write operation as well as faster boot up speeds than HDD. SSD uses less power and accessing files are much faster than a typical HDD.

Hello world, meet the Buzztv U5 UHD 4K Android Media Player with integrated Buzztv 5 The U5 uses the latest generation Amlogic Quad Core processor that is maxed out with 4GB of DDR4 RAM which gives you lightning-fast navigation.
Experience the speed and stability of Wi-Fi 6, built into the U5. Wi-Fi 6 is the most modern Wi-Fi Spec. It allows for greater speeds, lower latency delays, and increased efficiency when using multiple devices on your network. Running on Android 11™, apps are now optimized to allow you to merge your existing solutions into one box for a true “All-In-One” solution.
The U5 ships with 32GB of internal storage. It also has a 2.5-inch SATA Drive Tray, allowing you to expand your storage! Our U5 comes standard with our brand-new BT-400 Smart Remote that allows you to easily control your TV’s Power button, Volume control and TV input source.
Buzztv bespoke Home Screen is the main hub that allows you as the customer switch to different layout and an option to add your favourite apps and content to the home screen, allowing the customer to have quick access to all the time. Buzztv are the first to offer this great feature!

The Buzztv U5 inherits the same housing design and connections as the XRS 4900 such as a laser cut hexagon design on top of the housing that is embossed with high gloss and smoothed off the rest of the level with a matt black finish. Keeping their iconic LED Buzztv logo on the face of the U5, it truly does stands out from the crowd.
The lower trim of the U5 has of a high gloss black colour that travels around the front, sides, and rear. You will notice a slide out caddy tray labelled buzztv on the left side where you can mount your HDD or SSD.
The physical connections on the rear are USB Type C, AV, Ethernet, HDMI, Optical, Power. The left side also offers 1x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.0, MicroSD Card.
The U5 has the new revolutionary BT-400 Smart Remote. The BT-400 coupled with our new “Smart Remote App” will allow you to effortlessly pair the remote directly to your TV, to control Power on and off, TV volume and TV source input. You can set the remote to enable or disable the backlight and custom program the four-color keys as a shortcut to your favourite apps (Hot Keys).
If you have an older TV with HDMI but the TV does not support CEC, the U5 can still operate without CEC with our “Retro Connect Technology”. Turn off the CEC settings in the U5. You will know this as the LED on the U5 will remain illuminated when you turn off the TV.
To use the BT-400 to turn on and off, volume control and TV source input control the TV needs to be TV source paired to the BT-400 remote. This is part of the initial setup of the Buzztv U5 and can also be done from the Buzztv Smart Remote App as well if you choose to change TVs later.
Not all TVs are compatible for TV source pair. If the TV does not support TV source pair, you can still use the U5 just use the TV’s actual remote to turn off and on the TV CEC settings in the U5 and your TV.

Buzztv are the first to implement‘favourites’to their home screen such as Live TV, VOD, TV Series, and a fantastic new Live TV Preview Screen thereby ensuring that you never miss important live content. You can also add favourite apps to the home screen.
Compared to other Android IPTV STB brands, the BuzzTV U5 offers much faster navigation scrolling speeds, channel zapping and bespoke features such as hide unwanted channel categories, move channel categories in any order of your choice. Add channels to your favourite folder/category.
We also offer Multi-Screen Option Design allowing you to enjoy the luxury of switching to 3 different home screens of your liking, giving you the very best user experience possible.
Buzztv developed the Backup and Restore option to allow you to save your custom settings, favourite channels, VOD and TV series listings and categories groups as well as servers. You can restore the back up on any buzztv android device running Buzztv 5!

Please note: SSD warranties are based on the warranty period OR the stated endurance limit, also known as Total Bytes Written (TBW). The warranty of the drive will expire if the TBW is reached before the end of the warranty period.
TBW is rarely reached except for exceptional circumstances where the drive is overworked.
